Glycerol, Molecular Biology Grade

Glycerol is used for storage of enzymes at low temperatures. A 50% (w/v) glycerol solution will not freeze at –20°C. Glycerol is often used as a component in electrophoresis loading buffers because of its density (1.26g/ml). In addition, glycerol gradients can be used in the purification of bacteriophage or proteins. Cat.# H5433 is anhydrous glycerol with a purity of ≥99.5%.
